Archer Aviation announced it signed definitive agreements to acquire control of Hawthorne Airport (Los Angeles) for roughly $126 million in cash to serve as an operational hub for its planned L.A. air taxi network and as a testbed for AI‑powered aviation technologies. The company also disclosed it raised $650 million of new equity capital, bringing total liquidity to over $2 billion, and closed an acquisition of Lilium’s patent portfolio (~300 AAM assets).
