Premier Inc., a healthcare services company based in Charlotte, North Carolina, may receive a bid from Patient Square Capital, a newswire reported, citing sources familiar with the discussions.
Patient Square Capital, founded by former KKR & Co. executive Jim Momtazee, is reportedly raising funds for a potential privatization deal, Bloomberg reported.
Additional bidders may also emerge, the sources said.
Representatives for Patient Square declined to comment. A spokesperson for Premier stated that the company would not respond to market rumors, the report added.
Premier closed trading on 5 September with a market value of USD 2.1bn.
