Clio closed its approximately US$1 billion acquisition of vLex, combining vLex’s global legal intelligence (including the Vincent AI engine and a large corpus of enriched legal documents across 110 jurisdictions) with Clio’s legal operating platform. In parallel, Clio raised US$500 million in Series G equity financing led by NEA, with participation from existing investors, and secured a US$350 million debt facility led by Blackstone and Blue Owl Capital. Clio says the combined assets establish an Intelligent Legal Work Platform that connects practice management, research, drafting, and operations via AI‑powered workflows for firms of all sizes, including new enterprise capabilities through Clio Operate. Proceeds will support AI product innovation and future strategic M&A.
